PROJECTS

The United Nations Women’s Guild-Geneva (UNWG-Geneva) is a charity organization assisting women and children in need throughout the world. The UNWG also serves as a circle of friendship where women from more than hundred countries, who are connected to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva, share opportunities for fundraising, volunteering and activities.

The UNWG Geneva provides financial support to projects around the world, with the clearly defined purpose of supporting the health, education, vocational training and security of children and young women. These are micro-projects, with a time frame of up to 6 months. The UNWG can provide a maximum of CHF 6,000 per project.

Applications for funding can only be submitted by UNWG-Geneva members. The applications are screened by the Projects sub-committee, and the allocation of funds are approved by the Executive Committee. To date the UNWG-Geneva has financed over 2000 projects in more than 100 countries, using the funds generated from the UNWG Annual International Bazaar, including the sale of the lottery tickets.

Please find below the updated Application form and relevant Guidelines for submitting project proposals. The deadline for submissions is 10 January 2025.
