Rampyari Kanya Pathshala is the first girls’ school in Dibai, Uttar Pradesh. The government provides the minimum as the salary of teachers and other supporting staff. The school lacks resources to provide good education to the pupils who come from low income families. The goal of the project is to develop computer skills by establishing a computer lab, provide safe drinking water, renovate an old roof and build a sports complex.
Protsahan encourages and trains needy young women (40 at a time) to gain skills and become self-sufficient and help support their families. The project aims to improve the infrastructure of the training facility (repair work of toilets, water dispenser), to provide training materials such as educational equipment (projector, screen, laptop, camera and books), and materials for the student production unit (fabrics, labels, brochures).
