The UNWG Children’s Walk

The Children’s Walk is a cherished annual event that brings together our community while encouraging children to embrace the spirit of giving. Through this initiative, the UNWG raises funds for its Scholarship Programme, supporting secondary school students in need.

As renovations at the Palais des Nations continue, this year’s Walk once again took place across different school campuses. The children then gathered for a joint ceremony on Tuesday, 5 May at the Palais des Nations, kindly welcomed by Madame Tatiana Valovaya, Director-General of UNOG and Honorary President of UNWG.

It was truly wonderful and inspiring to see the children so happy and proud of the efforts they made to raise funds to support other children in need. Their creativity shone through the beautiful artwork prepared for the Helping Hand project, each piece reflecting their individuality and generosity.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the students, teachers, and parents for their enthusiasm and commitment to this meaningful cause. We already look forward to next year’s Children’s Walk and to continuing our shared mission of helping children in need while nurturing compassion in future generations.
