55th Anniversary of the United Nations Women’s Guild

Members were invited to a joyful luncheon at Restaurant La Perle du Lac to celebrate the great success of the Bazaar and the 55th anniversary of the United Nations Women’s Guild. The gathering was warm and cheerful, filled with laughter, lively conversations, and a strong sense of togetherness. Guests delighted in spending time with old friends and meeting new ones.

The atmosphere was full of celebration as stories were shared and toasts were raised, reflecting the true spirit of the Guild. We were honoured by the presence of our two Honorary Presidents, Madam Tatiana Valovaya, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva, and Ambassador Jürg Lauber, Permanent Representative of Switzerland to UNOG, whose presence added warmth and meaning to the occasion.

Adding to the fun, everyone joined in the lively Bollywood dancing led by Meena Mehta. Guests were on their feet, moving to the infectious rhythms and vibrant beats. The joyful energy, spirited music, and colourful movements created a playful atmosphere where everyone danced freely and let themselves be swept away by the sheer exuberance of the moment. It was a delightful celebration, leaving members with happy memories and a renewed sense of friendship and solidarity.
