DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the UNWG Hiking Group. We have two different level groups that hike in the beautiful mountains and surrounding country side. Our hikes are every Wednesday and last all day. \nWe are delighted to offer two different levels of hike every Wednesday. \nFor one group\, the hikes last 4 to 5 hours in winter with an average height gain between 300-600m\, often on snowshoes\, and in summer they are closer to 6 hours with an average height gain between 600-800m. The hikes can cover rough terrain\, on rugged mountain paths\, and can include the use of chains and ladders. The group walks at a steady pace and therefore a good level of fitness and some hiking experience is required.\nFor the other group\, the hikes average 12-14kms\, with a height gain not usually exceeding 300m. She highlighted the Guild’s 55‑year commitment to solidarity\, compassion\, international cooperation and support for those most in need. \nShe paid special tribute to Ms Ajkuna Thanati\, noting that her presidency has been marked by dedication\, energy and a clear vision for strengthening the Guild.
