The UNWG Children\u2019s Walk is an annual fundraising event organised by the UNWG Geneva to support children\u2019s education. Held at the Palais des Nations<\/strong>, the event brings together children from international schools in Geneva, who walk to raise funds for scholarships that enable disadvantaged students to access secondary education.<\/p>

More than just a fundraiser, the Children\u2019s Walk is a meaningful experience that teaches young participants the values of empathy, solidarity, and social responsibility<\/strong>.<\/p>

The UNWG Geneva launched the Children\u2019s Walk initiative in 2002<\/strong>, and over the years, it has become a popular and successful event. With the support of dedicated staff from various international schools in Geneva and members of the UNWG Geneva, children have participated enthusiastically in this educational and fun-filled activity.<\/p>

During the event, children walk in circuits collecting stamps for each completed walk. In recognition of their efforts, parents donate funds, which are then used to support the UNWG scholarship programme<\/strong>. This programme finances secondary education for a selected number of students who would otherwise be unable to attend school.<\/p>

Beyond fundraising, the Children\u2019s Walk fosters a sense of empathy, solidarity, and generosity in the young participants, helping them understand that not all children enjoy the same privileges. More than just a charitable initiative, the event serves as a valuable lesson in humanity and social justice<\/strong>. Additionally, it provides an opportunity for children to learn more about UNOG and its mission<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
